As much unpaved as possible, from A to B.

Other route planners push you onto the asphalt. Offroad Pilot is the off-road route planner that seeks out forest trails, gravel, sand and green lanes instead. Dial in how much adventure, download the GPX and ride.

The two things that make the difference

You set the adventure. The planner does the rest.

No random sand, no detour for the sake of a detour. One slider for how much adventure your route gets, plus a purpose-built off-road profile: that's the whole trick.

FEATURE 01

Adventure, precisely dialled in

Choose how much longer your route may run than the straight line: from almost point to point, to a maximum detour with real character. Offroad Pilot builds the route around it. Want a floor instead? Set a minimum distance and the route will reach it.

FEATURE 02

A tailored off-road profile

The off-road profile is built specifically for the bike: it seeks out unpaved terrain and avoids trails you're not allowed on. No random sand, just a route that makes sense.

Loop generator

No destination? We'll spin up a loop for you.

No final destination needed. Pick distance, direction (compass rose) and twistiness, and you get a loop from your starting point over as much unpaved as possible.

Rotatable map

Rotate the map with two fingers so it turns with the road ahead of you. On desktop, use Shift + drag. One tap on the compass sets the map back to north.

GPX with surface data

A GPX that remembers per segment what's unpaved, not just a line on the map. Load it into Calimoto, Kurviger, TomTom Rider, OsmAnd and Gaia GPS; in OsmAnd the unpaved sections even change colour with it.

Press and hold the map

Press and hold any point on the map (or right-click) and choose: navigate there, save it to your places or start a route from it. Avoiding roads is done via Avoid points in the side panel.

Weather & daylight en route

See temperature, rain and wind at points along your route, matched to your arrival time. Plus a daylight check that warns you if you're at risk of finishing in the dark.

Unpaved in colour

See at a glance which sections are unpaved: amber = unpaved, dark = paved. Plus % unpaved, elevation gain and a difficulty badge.

Frequently asked questions

How do I plan an off-road motorcycle route in the Netherlands?

Set a start and end point (or leave the destination off for a round trip); Offroad Pilot automatically finds forest trails, gravel, sand and green lanes between A and B. Then download the GPX and ride.

Is Offroad Pilot free?

Yes, completely free and no account needed. You plan your off-road motorcycle route straight in your browser.

Can I plan a Trans Euro Trail (TET) style route?

Yes. Offroad Pilot gives unpaved roads and green lanes priority by default, ideal for adventure and enduro rides and TET-style trips across the Netherlands.

Which surfaces does Offroad Pilot recognise?

Forest tracks, gravel, sand, unpaved lanes and green lanes. Every route shows the percentage unpaved and the surface per segment.

Which apps open the GPX?

The GPX export works with Calimoto, Kurviger, TomTom Rider, OsmAnd and Gaia GPS, including per-segment surface data.

Does my route stay out of protected nature and military areas?

Yes. Protected nature (Staatsbosbeheer, Natuurmonumenten) and military or private land are kept out of your route by default.
